This website was built so that it does not need to track you. Photographs are hosted on our own domain, there are no social media plugins, and there is no advertising or profiling technology of any kind.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store, so the site can recognise your browser later. Cookies are commonly used for logins, shopping carts, advertising and analytics. Some similar technologies (local storage, session storage) store data in the browser without using cookies at all.
2. Cookies we set
None for analytics, advertising or profiling. This website does not set advertising cookies, does not use tracking pixels or fingerprinting, and does not embed third-party content that would set its own cookies. Browsing this site is not linked to you as an individual.
The website works completely without cookies. If you block all cookies, every page — including the quote request form — still functions normally.
3. Strictly necessary security cookies
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, protects the site against attacks. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie when it needs to verify that a visitor is a real browser rather than an automated attack — for example during a security challenge. These cookies exist only for security and are not used for advertising, profiling or analytics.
If optional bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) is switched on in front of the quote form, Cloudflare may set a short-lived cookie as part of that verification. It is not used to track you across other websites.
4. Analytics
No analytics or measurement service is currently active on this website. If we ever add one, we will choose a cookieless, privacy-respecting option that reports aggregate page views only, and we will update this page before switching it on.
5. Local storage in your browser
No cookies are used for this, but the website can save one thing in your browser’s local storage: your light or dark theme choice. If you use the theme switch in the header, a single entry called mkbuild-theme, holding either light or dark, is saved on your device so the site opens in the theme you picked next time.
That entry contains no name, no number and no identifier of any kind, it is never sent to us or to anyone else, and it disappears when you clear your browser’s site data. Nothing else is written to local storage or session storage, and nothing is written at all if you never touch the switch — the site then follows your device’s own light or dark setting.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
You are always in control. Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies, including for individual sites, in its privacy or security settings. Blocking cookies on this website has no effect on any feature, because we do not rely on them. Blocking local storage affects nothing either — the theme switch still works, it simply will not remember your choice next time.
7. Third-party links
If you follow a link from this site to another company’s website, that site is responsible for its own cookies. Check their policy before you share information with them.
8. Changes to this policy
If anything about how we use cookies changes, this page will be updated and the effective date below will change with it.
